Terms of Service
The binding terms under which this publication and its related services are made available to you. Please read them carefully before using the Site.
Last updated · 14 April 2026
These Terms of Service (the "Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("you," "your," or "the reader") and Casino in Dubai, its owners, officers, contributors, employees, agents, licensors, affiliates, and successors (collectively "Casino in Dubai," "we," "us," or "the publication"). These Terms govern your access to and use of casino-in-dubai.com, any of its subdomains, mobile applications, the Dispatch newsletter, the events calendar, reader comments, contact and submission forms, and any other content, product, or service we make available (collectively the "Site"). By accessing, browsing, registering with, subscribing to, or otherwise using the Site, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms, our Privacy Policy, and any additional terms we publish in relation to specific features. If you do not agree, you must not access or use the Site.
1. About the publication
Casino in Dubai is an independent editorial publication covering commercial gaming, regulation, licensing, integrated resorts, and hospitality across the United Arab Emirates and the wider Gulf region. The publication is journalistic in nature. It is not affiliated with the General Commercial Gaming Regulatory Authority ("GCGRA"), any other regulator, any licensee, any operator, any vendor, any platform, or any political body, save for any arrangement that is specifically, prominently, and contemporaneously disclosed within a given piece (for example, sponsored stories, co-authored partnerships, or paid placements).
2. Acceptance; modification of terms
These Terms take effect the first time you use the Site and continue to apply until terminated in accordance with Section 28. We may update or modify these Terms at any time, in our sole discretion, to reflect changes in the law, our operations, or our services. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, where practicable, notify subscribers through the Dispatch or a notice on the Site. Continued use of the Site after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. If you do not agree with any change, your sole remedy is to stop using the Site.
3. Definitions
In these Terms: "Content" means all articles, headlines, standfirsts, text, images, illustrations, photography, audio, video, data, graphics, trademarks, trade dress, layout, code, and other material made available on the Site; "User Content" means anything you submit, upload, post, or transmit to or through the Site (including comments, pitches, tips, and form submissions); "Services" means all features and functionality offered on or through the Site; and "Applicable Law" means any statute, regulation, rule, order, or legal requirement of any competent jurisdiction.
4. Eligibility
By using the Site you represent and warrant that: (a) you are at least eighteen (18) years of age, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction if higher; (b) you have full legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement; (c) you are not resident or located in a jurisdiction where accessing the Site is prohibited; (d) you are not subject to any sanctions administered by the United Nations, the European Union, the United States, the United Kingdom, the United Arab Emirates, or any other relevant authority that would restrict your use of the Site; and (e) all information you provide to us is accurate, current, and complete. We reserve the right to refuse service, close accounts, and remove or edit User Content at our sole discretion.
5. No gambling invitation, offer, or promotion
The Site is editorial in character. Nothing on the Site constitutes an offer, invitation, inducement, promotion, advertisement, solicitation, or recommendation to gamble, to place any wager, to play any game of chance, to buy any lottery ticket, or to use any gaming service — whether provided by a licensed operator, an unlicensed operator, or any other party. Where we report on gaming products, operators, regulators, or licensees, we do so in our capacity as journalists. You are responsible for ensuring that any activity you undertake as a result of reading the Site is lawful in your jurisdiction and that you comply with all applicable laws, including those relating to gambling, lottery participation, and online gaming.
Gambling may be illegal, restricted, or subject to licence in the jurisdiction from which you access the Site. Penalties for unlawful gambling can be severe, including, in certain jurisdictions, criminal sanctions. We make no representation that any activity, product, or operator referred to on the Site is lawful for you. You must make your own enquiries.
6. No professional advice of any kind
All Content on the Site is provided for general informational, editorial, and journalistic purposes only. Nothing on the Site constitutes, or is intended to constitute, legal, regulatory, compliance, tax, accounting, financial, investment, insurance, medical, psychological, or any other professional advice. No lawyer–client, advisor–client, fiduciary, or similar relationship is created by your use of the Site, your correspondence with the publication, or your submission of User Content. Before acting on anything you read here, you must consult appropriately qualified, licensed professionals in your jurisdiction. Reliance on Content is at your sole risk.
7. Accuracy, currency & information disclaimers
We take reasonable steps to verify the accuracy of our reporting using public registers, regulator statements, on-the-record sources, and other primary materials. Despite those steps, the Content is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis and we do not warrant that it is accurate, complete, current, reliable, or free from error. Regulatory status, licensee identity, licence numbers, filing dates, financial figures, buildout timelines, and operator statements can change at any time and without notice. Before relying on any specific fact, you must verify it against primary sources.
If you believe a piece of Content is inaccurate, please contact us at the address in Section 32 with the URL, the specific passage, and your source for the correction. We consider all good-faith correction requests but retain editorial discretion.
8. Intellectual property rights
All Content on the Site is owned by Casino in Dubai or used under licence, and is protected by copyright, database right, trademark, trade dress, and other intellectual property laws in the United Arab Emirates, the European Union, the United Kingdom, the United States, and every other jurisdiction in which such protection is available. The publication's name, logo, wordmark, and visual identity are our trademarks and must not be used without our prior written consent.
9. Limited licence to use the Site
Subject to your continuing compliance with these Terms, we grant you a personal, limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non- sublicensable licence to access and view the Content through a standard web browser or our sanctioned mobile clients, for your personal, non-commercial use. This licence does not permit, and you must not: (a) reproduce, republish, mirror, scrape, syndicate, redistribute, or commercially exploit the Content in whole or in part; (b) modify, translate, create derivative works from, or combine the Content with other material without prior written consent; (c) use the Site or any Content to train, fine-tune, evaluate, benchmark, or otherwise develop any artificial intelligence, machine learning, large language, or generative model, whether proprietary or open source; (d) use automated tools, bots, crawlers, harvesters, or similar software to access the Site, save for well-behaved public search engine crawlers that respect our robots.txt; (e) circumvent or attempt to circumvent any access control, paywall, rate limit, or other technical protection measure; (f) remove, obscure, or alter any copyright, trademark, attribution, or other proprietary notice; or (g) use the Content in any manner that is unlawful, misleading, defamatory, or harmful to the publication's reputation. Short, attributed quotations with a prominent link back to the source article are permitted.
10. User Content
When you submit User Content, you represent and warrant that: (a) the contribution is your own original work or you have all rights required to submit it; (b) the contribution does not infringe any third party's intellectual property, privacy, publicity, or other rights; (c) the contribution is not defamatory, obscene, harassing, discriminatory, threatening, or unlawful under Applicable Law; (d) the contribution does not contain malicious code, viruses, or any other harmful component; and (e) the contribution is accurate and not misleading.
You grant Casino in Dubai a perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free, transferable, sublicensable licence to use, host, store, reproduce, modify, adapt, translate, create derivative works from, publish, perform, display, distribute, and otherwise exploit the User Content, in any medium and in any manner now known or later developed, for any purpose connected with the operation, promotion, and archiving of the Site. You waive any moral rights you may have in the User Content to the fullest extent permitted by Applicable Law.
We are under no obligation to publish, retain, or reply to any User Content. We may remove, edit, or refuse to publish any User Content at our sole discretion and without notice. Opinions expressed in User Content are those of the contributor, not the publication, and we disclaim responsibility for them.
11. Prohibited conduct
You must not use the Site to: (a) violate any law, regulation, or third-party right; (b) impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity; (c) transmit spam, chain letters, pyramid schemes, or any form of unsolicited commercial communication; (d) harvest or collect personal information about other users, contributors, or editors; (e) interfere with, disrupt, probe, or overload the Site's infrastructure, networks, or security mechanisms; (f) upload or transmit any virus, trojan, worm, time bomb, logic bomb, rootkit, or other malicious code; (g) attempt to gain unauthorised access to any portion of the Site, other accounts, or connected systems; (h) use the Site to defame, harass, threaten, incite violence, stalk, or otherwise harm any individual or group; (i) engage in fraud or money laundering; (j) reverse engineer or attempt to derive the source code of any part of the Site, except to the extent such restriction is prohibited by Applicable Law; or (k) use the Site in any manner that, in our sole judgment, exposes the publication to legal, reputational, or regulatory risk.
12. Third-party content, links, and services
The Site contains links to third-party websites, services, and resources for the reader's convenience and for sourcing purposes. We do not control those third parties, do not endorse their content, products, or services, and are not responsible for their availability, accuracy, privacy practices, or terms. Your use of any third-party website or service is at your own risk and governed by the terms and policies of that third party.
13. Advertising, sponsorship & affiliate arrangements
The Site may feature advertising, sponsored editorial, sponsored newsletter placements, event broadcasts, and similar commercial arrangements. Where we publish commercial content it is labelled as such (for example, " Sponsored," "In partnership with," or an equivalent disclosure). Inclusion of a product, operator, event, or brand on the Site — whether editorially or through a paid placement — is not an endorsement, recommendation, warranty, or guarantee of any kind. Commercial arrangements do not compromise our editorial independence or news judgment.
From time to time the Site may contain affiliate or referral links for which we receive a commission if you take a specified action. Such links will not alter the price or terms you pay, and the presence of an affiliate relationship is disclosed in accordance with Applicable Law.
14. Accounts, security & access suspension
Some features may require you to create an account or provide identifying information. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account, whether or not you authorised it. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorised use. We may suspend, limit, or terminate your access to any part of the Site — with or without notice and with or without cause — at our sole discretion, including where we reasonably suspect a breach of these Terms, unlawful use, or risk to the Site or other users.
15. Privacy & data protection
Our handling of personal information is described in our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. By using the Site you consent to the processing described there.
16. Age restrictions & responsible gaming
The Site is not intended for persons under the age of eighteen (18), or the age of majority in your jurisdiction if higher. Gambling of any kind is not permitted for minors. If you are concerned about gambling behaviour — yours or someone else's — seek help from a qualified professional and consult locally recognised support resources, including those signposted by the relevant regulator in your jurisdiction.
17. Intellectual property infringement & takedown
We respect the intellectual property rights of others. If you are the rights holder (or an authorised agent) and believe that Content on the Site infringes your rights, send a written notice to the contact address in Section 32 that includes: (a) identification of the work or mark claimed to be infringed; (b) identification of the allegedly infringing material, including the URL; (c) your contact information; (d) a statement that you have a good-faith belief that use of the material is not authorised; (e) a statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notice is accurate and that you are authorised to act on behalf of the rights holder; and (f) your physical or electronic signature. We review all good-faith notices and may remove or restrict access to material that appears to infringe. Counter-notifications may be submitted to the same address.
18. Disclaimers of warranties
To the maximum extent permitted by Applicable Law, the Site, the Content, and all Services are provided "as is" and "as available" without any warranties, representations, or conditions of any kind, whether express, implied, statutory, or otherwise, including any warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, non-infringement, accuracy, completeness, quiet enjoyment, system integration, or freedom from computer viruses.
Without limiting the foregoing, we do not warrant that: (a) the Site will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free; (b) defects will be corrected; (c) the Content is accurate, complete, reliable, current, or free from omission; (d) the Site or its servers are free of viruses or other harmful components; (e) the Site will meet your requirements or expectations; or (f) any results obtained from the use of the Site will be accurate or reliable. No advice or information, whether oral or written, obtained by you from the Site or from us creates any warranty not expressly stated in these Terms.
19. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by Applicable Law, in no event will Casino in Dubai, its owners, officers, directors, employees, contributors, licensors, service providers, agents, affiliates, or successors be liable to you or any third party for any: (a) indirect, incidental, special, consequential, punitive, exemplary, or aggravated damages; (b) loss of profits, revenue, business, goodwill, opportunity, anticipated savings, or data; (c) loss arising from your reliance on the Content, including regulatory, financial, reputational, or commercial loss; (d) loss arising from interruption of the Site, unavailability of Services, or security incidents; or (e) loss arising from third-party content, third-party services, or the acts or omissions of other users, whether in contract, tort (including negligence), strict liability, statutory duty, or any other legal theory, and whether or not we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
Our aggregate liability arising out of or in connection with these Terms, your use of the Site, or the Content, however arising, including in respect of any liability not otherwise excluded, is limited to the greater of (i) the total amount, if any, you have paid to us directly in the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or (ii) one hundred United States dollars (USD 100).
The limitations in this Section 19 apply even if any limited remedy fails of its essential purpose. If Applicable Law does not permit the exclusion or limitation of certain damages in whole, those exclusions and limitations apply to the maximum extent permitted by law. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
20. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Casino in Dubai, its owners, officers, directors, employees, contributors, licensors, service providers, agents, affiliates, and successors from and against any and all claims, demands, actions, proceedings, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or in connection with: (a) your use of or access to the Site; (b) your violation of these Terms; (c) your violation of any Applicable Law or any third-party right (including intellectual property, privacy, publicity, or defamation rights); (d) your User Content; and (e) any misrepresentation made by you. We reserve the right, at our own expense, to assume exclusive control of the defence and settlement of any matter otherwise subject to indemnification by you, in which case you agree to cooperate with our defence of such matter.
21. Force majeure
We are not liable for any failure or delay in performance caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including acts of God, natural disasters, pandemics, epidemics, war, terrorism, civil disturbance, cyber- attack, governmental action, sanctions, power or network outages, internet disruptions, strikes, labour disputes, or supplier failures.
22. Consumer rights & mandatory statutory protections
Nothing in these Terms is intended to exclude, restrict, or modify any statutory rights available to you as a consumer that cannot lawfully be excluded, restricted, or modified. Where any provision of these Terms conflicts with such statutory rights, that provision applies only to the maximum extent permitted by Applicable Law and the balance of these Terms continues in force.
23. Export, sanctions & trade compliance
You represent and warrant that you are not located in, and will not access the Site from, a country subject to comprehensive sanctions administered by the United Nations, the European Union, the United States Office of Foreign Assets Control, the United Kingdom, the United Arab Emirates, or any other relevant authority. You must not use the Site in violation of any export, re-export, sanctions, or trade control law.
24. Jurisdiction-specific notices
24.1 United Arab Emirates readers
The Site is produced from the UAE for a global readership. Commercial gaming in the UAE is regulated exclusively by the GCGRA. Any activity described on the Site that is subject to GCGRA licensing should be approached only through an appropriately licensed operator. Nothing on the Site constitutes a solicitation to gamble unlawfully under UAE Federal or Emirate-level law. The unlicensed provision or participation in gaming activities may result in criminal penalties under UAE law.
24.2 European Economic Area & United Kingdom readers
If you access the Site from the EEA or the United Kingdom, nothing in these Terms limits your rights under the UK General Data Protection Regulation, the EU General Data Protection Regulation, the EU Digital Services Act, the UK Consumer Rights Act 2015, or any other mandatory statutory protection that applies to you. Our Privacy Policy describes how we process personal data relating to EEA and UK readers.
24.3 United States readers
If you are a resident of the United States, any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms or the Site is subject to the governing law and dispute resolution provisions in Section 26, and to the extent permitted by Applicable Law, you waive any right to participate in a class, collective, or representative action. California residents: pursuant to California Civil Code §1789.3, you may contact the Complaint Assistance Unit of the Division of Consumer Services of the California Department of Consumer Affairs in writing at 1625 North Market Blvd., Sacramento, CA 95834.
24.4 Other jurisdictions
The Site is not intended for any person whose access or use would contravene Applicable Law. Where local law imposes requirements more protective of you than these Terms, those requirements take precedence to the extent of any conflict, without otherwise affecting the balance of these Terms.
25. Governing law
Except where mandatory law requires otherwise, these Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United Arab Emirates, without regard to conflict of law principles. The United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods does not apply.
26. Dispute resolution
26.1 Informal resolution. Before commencing any formal proceeding, you agree to attempt in good faith to resolve any dispute by contacting us at the address in Section 32 with a written description of the dispute and the relief sought. If the dispute is not resolved within sixty (60) days, either party may proceed to formal resolution in accordance with this Section 26.
26.2 Courts. Subject to Section 26.3, the courts of Dubai, United Arab Emirates, have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute, claim, or proceeding arising out of or in connection with these Terms or the Site, and each party irrevocably submits to that jurisdiction.
26.3 Arbitration (optional alternative). Either party may elect to refer any dispute to final and binding arbitration administered by the Dubai International Arbitration Centre (DIAC) under its rules then in force. The seat of arbitration shall be Dubai, the language shall be English, and the tribunal shall consist of a sole arbitrator. The award shall be final and binding and may be entered in any court of competent jurisdiction. To the extent permitted by Applicable Law, all claims must be brought in an individual capacity and not as part of any class, collective, or representative proceeding.
27. Changes to the Site and Services
We may, at any time and without liability to you, modify, suspend, discontinue, or impose limits on any part of the Site or Services, in whole or in part, for any or no reason.
28. Termination
We may terminate or suspend your access to the Site at any time, with or without cause and with or without notice. You may terminate these Terms at any time by ceasing to use the Site. Sections that by their nature are intended to survive termination will survive, including Sections 8 (IP), 10 (User Content licence), 18 (Disclaimers), 19 (Limitation of Liability), 20 (Indemnification), 25 (Governing Law), 26 (Dispute Resolution), and this Section 28.
29. General provisions
Entire agreement. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and any notices published on the Site, constitute the entire agreement between you and us relating to the Site and supersede any prior or contemporaneous understandings.
Severability. If any provision of these Terms is held by a court or tribunal of competent jurisdiction to be unlawful, void, or unenforceable, that provision shall be deemed severable and shall not affect the validity and enforceability of the remaining provisions, which shall continue in full force.
No waiver. Our failure to enforce any provision of these Terms shall not constitute a waiver of that or any other provision, nor of any future enforcement of it.
No partnership. Nothing in these Terms creates any agency, partnership, joint venture, employment, or franchise relationship between you and us.
Assignment. You may not assign or transfer your rights or obligations under these Terms without our prior written consent. We may assign these Terms at any time, including in connection with a merger, acquisition, sale of assets, or operation of law, without notice to you.
No third-party beneficiaries. These Terms do not create any third-party beneficiary rights.
Headings. Section headings are for convenience only and do not affect the interpretation of these Terms.
Language. These Terms are drafted in English. Any translation is provided for convenience only and, in the event of any conflict, the English version prevails.
30. Notices
We may give notice to you by posting on the Site, by sending to any email address associated with your use of the Site, or by any other reasonable means. You must give notice to us in writing to the contact address in Section 32.
31. No waiver of sovereign or statutory rights
Nothing in these Terms constitutes a waiver of any right or remedy available to you under mandatory statutory law, including any non-waivable protection relating to consumer rights, data protection, or fundamental rights in your jurisdiction.
32. Contact
Questions regarding these Terms, corrections, licensing enquiries, takedown notices, complaints, and formal legal notices should be addressed to hello@casino-in-dubai.com. For general correspondence you may also use the contact form.
