TrueWin Cricket Betting: What the Sportsbook's Own Rules Say Before the T10 and ILT20

Last updated: 5 November 2026

TrueWin cricket betting runs on the same house rules as every other TrueWin bet: a Dh1 minimum stake, a Dh100,000 maximum where the market allows it, and a Dh1 million cap on what one player can be paid in a day. Cricket is listed in the TrueWin sportsbook, but the platform says it does not offer Super Over markets, and its public help centre has no cricket-specific settlement rules. Those details matter now, because the Abu Dhabi T10 starts on 7 November and ILT20 Season 5 follows on 21 November, with more ILT20 matches in Dubai (15 of 34) than at any other venue.

Key takeaways

  • TrueWin's sportsbook menu lists cricket. Its published betting limits are a Dh1 minimum, up to Dh100,000 "if the market allows", and a maximum daily payout of Dh1,000,000 per player.
  • TrueWin says Super Over betting markets are "currently not offered", which affects tied knockout games in both tournaments.
  • The only public rule on abandoned matches is written in football terms (90 minutes of regular time) and defers to individual market rules. TrueWin has published no cricket rain or reduced-overs rule.
  • The Abu Dhabi T10 (7–20 November) is played entirely at Zayed Cricket Stadium. ILT20 (21 November–20 December) puts 15 of its 34 matches in Dubai, including the opener and the final.
  • TrueWin publishes nothing on Dubai access. Its sister brand Play971 states that it is available "within the UAE only, except Dubai".
  • The GCGRA lists one online licensee, Coin Technology Projects LLC. TrueWin's privacy notice names that company as its operator. The register names companies, not brands.

What is TrueWin, and who runs the sportsbook?

TrueWin (truewin.ae) is an online casino and sportsbook for adults in the UAE. Our TrueWin explainer covers the brand's history and the licensing question in detail. This page deals only with how its sportsbook treats cricket.

The operator is named in TrueWin's privacy notice. It says truewin.ae is run by Coin Technology Projects LLC, commercial licence CN-3762798, whose principal place of business is Twofour54, Yas Creative Hub, Abu Dhabi. On 4 November 2026, the General Commercial Gaming Regulatory Authority (GCGRA) register listed that company as the only holder of both the internet gaming and sports wagering licences. It does not list TrueWin, or any other consumer brand, by name.

The two brands present this differently. Play971, the group's other brand, prints "Licensed by the GCGRA" in its footer. When we checked on 4 November, the TrueWin homepage footer made no such statement.

What cricket can you bet on with TrueWin?

On 4 November, the TrueWin sports menu listed cricket next to football, tennis, kabaddi and more than a dozen other sports. We did not log in, so we cannot say which T10 or ILT20 markets were open on that date. Market lists appear only inside the betting interface.

The help centre does give the general framework:

Rule — What TrueWin says

  • Minimum stake — Dh1
  • Maximum stake — Dh100,000, "if the market allows"
  • Maximum daily payout — Dh1,000,000 per player
  • Super Over markets — "Currently not offered"

The limits also depend on the market. TrueWin says "wagering limits offered vary by sport, competition and market", so a Dh100,000 ceiling is an upper bound, not a promise for every cricket market.

Why does it matter that there are no Super Over markets?

A Super Over is cricket's tie-breaker. Each team bats one extra over, and the side that scores more runs wins. TrueWin's own explainer notes that a Super Over is "not automatically played after every tied match". It happens only when the competition rules need a winner, such as in knockout games.

Both tournaments end in knockouts. The T10 finishes with a qualifier and a final on 20 November, and ILT20 ends with four playoff matches. A tied knockout could therefore be decided by a Super Over, and TrueWin will not price that over as a separate market. If you want to know how a match-winner bet settles after a Super Over, the platform does not answer that publicly. Ask support and keep the written reply.

What happens to a cricket bet if the match is abandoned?

TrueWin's public article on abandoned, postponed and cancelled matches is written for football. It says that if a match is abandoned "before 90 minutes of regular time have been completed", bets are void unless the market's outcome was already settled. It also says the rules apply "unless otherwise stated in the market rules".

Cricket has no 90 minutes, and weather can shorten a game. The help centre has no article on rain, reduced overs or Duckworth-Lewis-Stern adjustments. The same article also gives two timeframes for rescheduled games, 48 hours in one sentence and 24 hours in the next. If you bet, read the market rules inside the bet slip before you place the bet, not after a washout.

When are the Abu Dhabi T10 and ILT20 2026?

Our Play971 cricket-season report covers the operator's cricket plans. In short, the published schedules are:

Abu Dhabi T10, Season 2026

  • 7–20 November, all at Zayed Cricket Stadium, Abu Dhabi, with a rest day on 12 November
  • Six teams: UAE Bulls, Yas Lions, Royal Desert Champions, Emirates Eagles, United Tigers and Arabian Aces
  • 32 matches: a 30-match double round-robin, then a qualifier and the final
  • Opener: UAE Bulls v Yas Lions, 7 November, 3:30pm GST. Final: 20 November, 6:45pm GST

DP World ILT20, Season 5

  • 21 November–20 December
  • 34 matches: 30 league games and four playoffs
  • Opener: Desert Vipers v MI Emirates, Dubai International Stadium, 21 November, 6:30pm GST
  • Venues: Dubai 15 matches, Abu Dhabi 11, Sharjah 8. The final is in Dubai on 20 December

Fixture times come from tournament schedules reported in October and can change. Check the organisers' channels on match day.

Can you use TrueWin in Dubai during ILT20?

TrueWin has not said publicly. We searched its public help centre for "Dubai" and the only result was a list of card-issuing banks. The TrueWin version of the "restricted area" article that Play971 publishes sits behind a login.

Play971, run by the same company, is explicit: "Play971 is accessible within the UAE only, except Dubai." TrueWin's privacy notice says it collects location data from "authorised geolocation service providers". So the platform does check where you are, but it does not publish the map it uses.

That matters for this season. Every T10 match is in Abu Dhabi. ILT20's opener, final and 13 other games are in Dubai. Being in a stadium does not change where a geolocation check places you. Using a VPN or anything else to disguise your location means working around a licensing control. Our explainer on how Play971's location checks work describes the system in detail.

Who can bet with TrueWin?

TrueWin's help centre sets three conditions:

  • Age: 21 or over. "Anyone under the age of 21 is not eligible to open an account or use our platform."
  • Identity: KYC verification accepts only an Emirates ID. "Passports, driver's licenses, or national IDs" are rejected, so visiting fans cannot verify an account. Our guide on whether tourists can gamble in the UAE explains why.
  • Location: you must be physically in the UAE, checked through geolocation as above.

What protections are there if you do bet?

TrueWin's public responsible-gaming section has one tool article. It explains how to set a daily, weekly or monthly deposit limit, with a timeframe "from 24 hours up to 30 days". For disputes, it describes a staged complaints process, with a response from managers "within 10 business days" at stage two and a possible escalation to senior management.

A tournament calendar with matches almost every day makes it easy to bet more often than you meant to. If you plan to bet, set the deposit limit before the first ball, not after a losing night. If betting is already causing problems, our guide to responsible gambling help in the UAE lists the support services available locally, including free and confidential options.
