UAE Lottery Scratch Cards and E-Instants: Every Game, Price and Top Prize

Last updated: 23 October 2026

The UAE Lottery sells 14 scratch cards, priced from Dh5 to Dh50 with top prizes from Dh50,000 to Dh1 million, and six e-instant games. All of them are digital and played on theuaelottery.ae. Despite repeated reports of scratch-offs on shop counters, the operator's own FAQ says authorised retailers sell only Lucky Day and Pick 3. This guide lists every game with the price, top prize and payout rate the operator publishes. It also explains the odds tables, which show that most "wins" simply return the price of the card.

Key takeaways

  • There are 14 scratch cards: four at Dh5 (top prize Dh50,000), four at Dh10 (Dh100,000), three at Dh20 (Dh300,000) and three at Dh50 (Dh1 million).
  • There are six e-instants: Ice Gems, High 5, Marble Run, Lucky Lagoon, Sports Mania and Gemstone Riches. Their published return to player is 52.5 or 68.25 per cent.
  • Retail outlets do not sell scratch cards. The official FAQ says "Authorized UAE Lottery retailers sell Lucky Day and Pick 3", and every scratch card's rules tell you to "swipe the screen".
  • Across the ten cards with full odds tables, between one card in three and one in four wins something, by our calculation. But the most common prize equals the card's price, and only about one card in seven to ten pays back more than it cost.
  • Players must be 18 or over and physically in the UAE. Online prizes under Dh100,000 go straight to the player's wallet.

Can you buy UAE Lottery scratch cards in shops?

No. The operator's FAQ, read on 17 October 2026, answers the question directly: "Authorized UAE Lottery retailers sell Lucky Day and Pick 3. More games are being developed and will be added in the future."

The other evidence points the same way:

  • The game rules are written for screens. Each scratch card's official rules begin "Swipe the screen to reveal the 'Winning Numbers' and 'Your Numbers' results", and each lists a "Quick Buy" option for buying several cards online.
  • The retail launches named draw games only. The UAE Lottery's first dedicated shop, in Musaffah, Abu Dhabi, sells Lucky Day and Pick 3, according to April 2026 trade reports. Khaleej Times and Gulf News coverage of the August 2025 "Retail Express" counters at three ADNOC stations in Dubai does not say that scratch cards are sold there.
  • The "bin of scratch-offs" was a plan. The image of a shop counter with a bin of scratch-off tickets comes from a February 2025 Khaleej Times interview in which the operator described what it wanted retail to look like. Tickets were then sold only online, and no timeline was given.

So scratch cards on the UAE Lottery are an online product. Any physical scratch card claiming to be from the UAE Lottery should be treated with suspicion. Our guide to fake UAE Lottery and casino apps covers the warning signs.

What scratch cards does the UAE Lottery sell?

All 14, from the operator's How to Play page. Prices include 5 per cent VAT. RTP is the operator's published return to player, measured against the pre-VAT price.

Card — Price — Top prize — RTP

  • Golden 7 — Dh50 — Dh1,000,000 — 60%
  • Mission Million — Dh50 — Dh1,000,000 — 60%
  • Cash Splash — Dh50 — Dh1,000,000 — 67.07%
  • Mega Sails — Dh20 — Dh300,000 — 60%
  • Golden Dynasty — Dh20 — Dh300,000 — 60%
  • House of Gold — Dh20 — Dh300,000 — 65%
  • Copper Cups — Dh10 — Dh100,000 — 55%
  • Fortune Festival — Dh10 — Dh100,000 — 55%
  • Jungle Jewels — Dh10 — Dh100,000 — 62.53%
  • Treasure Hunt — Dh10 — Dh100,000 — 53.03%
  • Oasis Bonanza — Dh5 — Dh50,000 — 55%
  • Karak Kash — Dh5 — Dh50,000 — 55%
  • Wicket Winnings — Dh5 — Dh50,000 — 59.96%
  • Crowns & Jewels — Dh5 — Dh50,000 — 53.03%

Four of these, Wicket Winnings, Jungle Jewels, House of Gold and Cash Splash, launched together in July 2025 and are the highest-RTP card at each price. Within a price band, payout rates differ by up to 9.5 percentage points (53.03 against 62.53 per cent at Dh10), so the card you pick matters. Our RTP comparison of every UAE Lottery game puts these figures alongside the draw games.

How do UAE Lottery scratch cards work?

Each card shows a set of "Winning Numbers" and a panel of "Your Numbers", each with a prize underneath. You swipe to reveal them, and any of your numbers that matches a winning number pays the prize shown below it. Every card also has a bonus symbol, such as a gold bar on Treasure Hunt or a dallah coffee pot on Copper Cups, either of which doubles the prize. Cash Splash uses wallet symbols: one pays the stated amount, two pay double, and three pay the total of every prize in your panel.

Every card's rules allow up to 200 cards in one transaction, which is Dh2,000 for Treasure Hunt or Dh10,000 for Cash Splash. That limit is high, and the speed of instant games is one reason to set your own budget first.

What are the odds of winning a UAE Lottery scratch card?

Ten of the 14 cards publish odds for every prize tier. Cash Splash, House of Gold, Jungle Jewels and Wicket Winnings show prize amounts where the odds should be. Adding up the published tier odds gives a clear pattern:

  • Top prize: 1 in 1,000,000 on eight cards, and 1 in 500,000 on Oasis Bonanza and Karak Kash.
  • Any prize: about 1 in 3 on most cards, falling to 1 in 3.8 on Treasure Hunt and 1 in 4 on Crowns & Jewels.
  • A prize bigger than the price: only about 1 in 7 (Golden 7, Mission Million) to 1 in 10 (Treasure Hunt).

The gap between the last two lines is the most common "win": the card's own price. On Golden 7, a Dh50 prize comes up about once in every 5.3 cards. On Treasure Hunt, a Dh10 prize comes up once in 6.2. A win that equals the price leaves you exactly where you started, and the operator still counts it as a winning ticket.

What are the UAE Lottery e-instant games?

E-instants are animated online instant-win games, played for a fixed price per round. The operator lists six:

Game — How it plays — Price (where stated in the rules) — RTP

  • Lucky Lagoon — Match pairs of fish to open chests — Dh5, 10, 20, 30, 40 or 50 — 68.25%
  • Marble Run — Pick a ball; prizes for 1st to 3rd, with multipliers — Six price options — 68.25%
  • Sports Mania — Match symbols, random multiplier up to x50 — Dh2 to Dh50 — 52.5%
  • High 5 — Scratch a 3x4 grid, three matching amounts win — Dh5 shown — 52.5%
  • Ice Gems — Clear ice blocks to collect gems — Not stated in text — 52.5%
  • Gemstone Riches — Match numbers, bonus round on five gem symbols — Not stated in text — 52.5%

Lucky Lagoon and Marble Run have the highest published RTP of any UAE Lottery product. Marble Run's rules give overall odds of 1 in 2.21. Ice Gems says "you always win a prize", but with a 52.5 per cent RTP the average prize is about half the stake.

The prize tables for e-instants are published as images that scale with the ticket price. We have not reproduced top-prize figures from them, so check the game's own page before playing.

How are scratch card and e-instant prizes paid?

The same way as other online UAE Lottery prizes, according to the FAQ:

  • Prizes under Dh100,000 are paid directly into your online wallet.
  • Prizes of Dh100,000 or more must be claimed through support@theuaelottery.ae or 800 2365, and an in-person claim may be required. Large prizes are paid within 30 days of successful validation.
  • You have 180 calendar days to claim, after which the prize is forfeited.

Our guide on how to claim a UAE Lottery prize covers the ID checks and payment details.

Who can play, and is it legal?

The UAE Lottery is run by The Game LLC, which holds the only lottery licence issued by the federal regulator, the GCGRA. Players must be 18 or over and physically in the UAE. Scratch-card or instant-win apps offered by anyone else, including copies that use the UAE Lottery's name, are unlicensed and illegal in the UAE.

Instant games settle in seconds, and an RTP of 52.5 to 68.25 per cent means losing, on average, Dh35 to Dh50 of every Dh100 paid. If play stops being fun, our guide to problem-gambling help in the UAE lists where to get support.
